New Bankruptcy Act Will Affect Loan Modification San Diego Homeowners In Foreclosure
Loan modification in the news:
In the Walstreet Journal on January 30, 2009 United States Congressman John Conyers a Democrat from Michigan who serves on the House of Representatives Judiciary Committee- wrote legislation that will help efforts in a loan modification San Diego agreement situation. This legislation can help with the tide of foreclosures that are sweeping this nation like a storm.
The House Judiciary Committee approved legislation to help American Homeowners to keep their homes in bankruptcy. The bankruptcy act of 2009 gives the courts the power and authority to modify a loan modification San Diego agreement to keep mortgages in line with current home values.
This is another big step the government has taken in the wake of the foreclosure crisis. The existing bankruptcy code has permitted the courts to perform a loan modification agreement for over the past 20 years. This included secured debt, second home loans and every other type of secured debt.
We have a long way to go to solve this problem. However, we are headed in the right direction and loan modification San Diego program is one of the keys to solving this problem. This problem has affected every state in the U.S. and has had the most impact in the states of Michigan, Arizona, Florida, Nevada and California.
The loan modification process would allow the courts the authority to change the loan amount, the home loan terms, and the payment schedule and most importantly allow homeowners facing a loss of their home or in foreclosure to keep it through a loan modification San Diego agreement.
If, personal incomes continue to decline, housing values decline, unemployment and layoffs. This problem will get worse before it gets any better. Lenders need to losen their lending standards so more troubled home owners are able to refinance into a lower rate loan, with a lower payment schedule to help keep them out of foreclsoure.
The lawmakers, the lending institutions and howmeowners need to find even ground to solve this problem and a properly designed loan modification San Diego agrement will benefit all homeowners.
